Mary was never without her guitar. She enjoyed playing coffeehouses on a regular basis and quickly broke down barriers by contributing her music to social and professional events of her choosing.
She was working on her first album, comprised entirely of her own compositions, at the time of her death. It was completed a few days thereafter.
